The International Design Collection hosted an exclusive IDC Hard Hat Tour for members of the media last week. IDC Special Projects Manager Erica Castelo led the tour of the first and third floors. Representatives from LUXE Magazine, Denver Life Magazine, 5280, Colorado Homes & Lifestyles were in attendance.
Lori Perry with Denver Life Magazine said,
It has been so great to watch the building go from a shell to a stunning design collaboration!
“The original IDC structure was only two stories. We added the 3rd story and floor-to-ceiling windows to capture the incredible view of downtown Denver and the Front Range.” Erica Castelo, IDC Special Projects Manager/Leasing
“When we designed our new showroom, we focused on two key ideas: inspiration and education. First, we want to inspire clients with some of the industry’s most beautiful hardwood floor and wood wall products. Second, we want to educate clients so they pick the right wood, the right color, the right finish to ensure they love their floors for many many years to come! ” Chris Keale, T&G Flooring
“Ultra’s showroom will not only showcase a broad range of products, we will also feature many operational kitchen and bath fixtures, creating a highly interactive experience. We sought to create a unique way to discover and engage with the products.” Kevin Castelo, Ultra Design Center
“Inspire Kitchen Design Studio showroom will have nine displays ranging from modern to traditional styles. Each display will showcase fine cabinetry, countertops, and appliances. Additionally, we will have an intimate working kitchen to entertain and educate clients. We are showcasing SubZero and Wolf appliances and countertops by the Stone Collection. We have several levels of products for any budget and discerning eye, including outdoor cabinetry for alfresco kitchens. We are collaborating with the other IDC showroom partners: We will be displaying floors from T&G flooring; rugs from Aztec Carpet and Rugs; and lighting and hardware from Ultra Design Center.” Angela Otten, Inspire Kitchen and Design Studio
“We also designed the adjacent IDC Event Center which has an additional two displays, including a show kitchen and a catering kitchen. The event center is open for use by everyone in the building as a working kitchen for larger groups. We invite our clients to use our beautiful conference room where you can meet with designers, architects and showroom partners.” Angela Otten, Inspire Kitchen and Design Studio
